This loss is just bad luck. we had no reason to sacrifice with 4 .
You may toss a coin to decide, what to do in such situations. Playing Face to face it is a matter of table presence to do the rite. But online no idea, who the opponents are and seeing no emotions, it is better to let them play the par-contract undoubled.

The play of clubs is a bit risky, if I hadn't the 10 along with the Q, partner had found declarer the Q.
South can read the the 8 of diamonds as lowest, so North must have 3 diamonds and declarers distribution is 1624. He can get rid 1 club on the 3. diamond but not 2, so there is no hurry to play clubs. Just play the A of diamonds and another.

The slam is speculative, sure, but has lot of chances. I won many worse slams.
Alas West found a lead, that beats the contract. Against lead of a black suit, you can squeeze EAST in the reds, if he takes the 1. or 2. round of clubs, or you can catch him in a triple squueze, if he refuses the 2 first rounds in that suit.

Now, what happens, if East refuses the first two clubs? This will be the situation after 7 tricks:
South plays his last spade and throws a diamond from the table.East is caught in a triple squeeze and declarer takes all 13 tricks. Try the 3 different sequences of play, if he throws a heart, a diamond or the club A.

Question: How East must defend after a heart lead, to beat the 6NT?

This time we missed an icecold slam due to my very bad bidding. The rebid 3 is futile. I must bid 3 instead. So we have much more room for investigation and I can show my spade 3-card fit in a forcing situation.

1 - 1 - 3(virtually game force) - 3 - 3 - 4 .......

Sure partner could bid 4 over 3, but 4 is a reasonable bid.

Declarer should realize, that he needs the club hook going, because his line of play besides that it needs spade to be 4-3 (4 spades with South or heart 10 and with North) AND hearts 3-2 , will fail, if South has the K of clubs.
Therefore I had to play the club at once, to give him the opportunity to go wrong. He should'nt go up with the A but try the hook.

Say South's original hand is: QJ83, A3, QJ10xx, Kx then with the adopted line the situation would be after the 8. trick:

South takes now the A of hearts, cashes the K of clubs and promotes another trump trick for partner by playing a fourth round of diamonds.

The only situation where the play club A is rite is a stiff K with South.

If South has A and
hearts were 3-2

Here my partner made a bidding mistake. South should bid 2 diamonds over 1 spade. 1354 distribution, 11 working HCP is a nice overcall.

I couldn't imagine, we had game though my 14 HCP, if partner cannot bid over 1 spade. My best suit is opponent's and in the red I have a assembly of Q's and J's. Guess my pass is automatically, 1 spade will be down very probably, but do I know, if I wake up sleeping dogs, if I bid?

Bidding should be: 1 2 pass 3NT p p p

We had lost 2 IMPs anyway because the 1400 and 1600 other EW produced.
1 spade XX cannot be with me, because South is not allowed to double with only 3 hearts AND a moderate hand.

The par-score is 110, we got 100, so what? In principle South should bid 2 imho. Forget the Q of hearts and you have 6 QT and a good 6-carder. North with misfit in spades and only 1 living trick is not entitled to bid even in balancing position.

We lost 4.57 IMPs on this board playing 2+3 = 200, a score which is a curiosity for my agressive bidding style.

South has a perfect double of 1 heart with 16 HCP, 2 nice suits. Forget your club doubleton, if partner bids 2 , just bid 2 .
My wjo was not cool-proof. I'd liked The K of spades instead of hearts. But in 4. th position I had to bid. In second postion I pass this hand after an 1 opener.

Bidding will go: 1 X pass 4.(South promises 4 spades for sure ore a very strong hand).

Why my partner passed my wjo is his secret.

Another banana board, which costs us 3.14 IMPS, because 1 EW-pair went overboard, while the other declarer was not able to take his 11 tricks and went down in 4 hearts instead.
